Six Innovations Fighting Climate Change

In the past few years, innovations like advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI), data collecting drones, satellites observing the earth, advanced computers crunching huge amounts of data, Internet of Things (IOT) – devices communicating to other devices – and use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are all being used in helping the world adapt to the real-life consequences of climate change.  Each innovation, of course, has its downside from fake impersonations, invading personal space and spying, worry about job loss and avoiding real life by getting lost in virtual reality.  However, the good uses of these innovations, with proper safeguards and careful use can enhance the world’s ability to help learn enough to better prepare communities to adapt to climate change.  Some may help reduce overall climate change.
