General Convention’s Green Caucus

The Eighty-first General Convention of The Episcopal Church will be held the week of June 23-28, in Louisville, Kentucky. One of the main tasks is to elect a new presiding bishop (see link).

The Church’s Green Caucus has presented resolutions and memorials and will host a booth in the convention’s exhibit hall. They will provide creation-care information and answer questions. They will also provide a quiet room for reflection using a “green theme.” Scheduled luncheon meetings with speakers will discuss creation-care goals (see Facebook link). One goal (Memorial M006) encourages the body to support the United Nations Global Plastic Treaty to curtail plastic pollution in the world’s oceans. Please read further about the goals of the Green Caucus.
