Learning about Nature/Environment

Being in nature naturally awakens our curiosity to learn more about the creatures, plants and physical elements around us. When we learn about these things, we are more inclined to preserve and protect them.

Learning, added to our experiences and joy in creation helps us see our place in this web of life. We discover that all things are connected and interdependent and we are part of the whole. Besides, studying the natural world is endlessly fascinating and fun.

You might want to begin in your yard or neighborhood. What trees can you identify? What are the clouds “saying”? Branching out, you may wish to know which creatures use tools or the role of pollinators in food production. (Read further for some links to begin your study).
